CONTACT

I’m Santiago Ramones. I was born in Venezuela but came to the US in 2001 on my 6th birthday.

I am a composer, podcaster, producer, songwriter, and performer. I like music, talking to people about deep stuff, and nerdy things.

I make music!
My debut album, Bloom, is a time capsule of my beginnings as a composer from 2013 to 2016. My follow up EP, Sound Bytes, is 6 instrumental electronic tracks collected from a variety of separate projects.
Machinations, my graduate composition project, is an anthology series of pieces exploring ideas in technology, humanity, and the future. Like Black Mirror but with music.
I’ve also made music with Power Cycle, an experimental electronic trio with J.R. Edwards and Breck McGough, and me.
I also used to stream completely improvised music using Ableton Live on Thursdays at 6pm Central.

I have a podcast called Bit Depth, which I started in March of 2016. I’ve recorded 250+ episodes and interviewed 100+ people. On Bit Depth, I interview interesting people about deep stuff, asking impossible questions like “What do you think happens when we die?” and “How do we reduce the division between people?”

I also work with creators to make their podcasts sound their best by cleaning up the audio, editing out filler words, and making the whole podcast experience a real high quality experience. I also provide my music making skills as a service.

I’ve contributed to and performed with Solstice Cosplay. We’ve won many awards at conventions performing cosplay skits. Our first skit has 11 million views on YouTube. I also arranged, recorded, and produced all of the audio and music for those skits.

Outside of those things, I’m a giant nerd. I love video games, science fiction, film and TV, and tabletop games.
I currently live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with my wife,Sable, and our cats, Azula and Seiji.

Still want to spend more time with me? Here’s some podcasts I’ve appeared on:

MUSIC

is an anthology series of pieces exploring ideas in technology, humanity, and the future.
Like Black Mirror but with music.

These pieces were performed at my Graduate Composition Performance on April 11th, 2019 at the UCO Jazz Lab as part of the requirements of my Master of Music Composition degree.
Due to the nature of how much work every music student is given each semester, some of the performances are not perfect, but I am happy with how well the show went.

The video was recorded by J.R. Edwards and the audio was produced by Bryan Mitschell.
The artwork was drawn by Nathan M. Kent and the Graphic Design for the poster and booklet was by Sable Ann.
